Job Title : Mechanical Engineer Manager – Server/NB

Qualification : 1. BSME or equivalent and at least 10 years relevant experience
2. Minimum of 4 years people management experience
3. Mechanical aptitude for interpretation of mechanical drawing specifications.
4. Ability to read/understand complex drawings and 3D databases.
5. Detail-oriented with attention to product quality.
6. Verbal and written communication.
7. Ability to develop patentable ideas.
8. Problem solving and analysis skills.
9. Understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products, and competitor's offerings. Ability to analyze options for critical design elements and features and determines optimum selection.
10. Ability to visualize. Proficient math skills.
11. Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing-driven design issues.
12. Proficient in reading and understanding technical data sheets.
13. Ability to read and understand circuit schematics and/or mechanical drawings.
Job Description : 1. Oversee and coordinate the development of innovative, compliant mechanical design solutions for computer system products. Identify and mitigate barriers to success.
2. Develop budget plans. Track these plans for accuracy and trends and report the outcomes. Actively manage budgets to stay within defined limits.
3. Coordinate the acquisition, use and training of best in class tools in order to allow the teams to better develop innovate solutions to highly complex problems. Identify and mitigate barriers to success.
4. Manage and support all products under development in your area. Position the team(s) to meet all schedule commitments and help ensure the team's delivery of a stable and complete product that has no production design defect Engineering Changes.
5. Manage the mechanical functional budget.
6. Develop approved resource plans, and aggressively staff the organization. Proactively reassess resource plans based on changing business conditions.
7. Indirectly or directly manage development activities of external suppliers.
8. Scope and obtain resources required to support products on the road map.
Responsible for management of staff that perform all aspects of the development including: concept development, detailed design, 9. testing and validation, production tooling, part/tool qualification, sign off for production.
